Usa tours usually tend to hit the top vacation spots in the United States. By visiting California, one will be able to take usa tours that hit a lot of the hot spots in the country. California is a vacationers idea of paradise between the numerous activities that are available in the state, the mild and comfortable weather, and the ease of getting to the state for a holiday. While there are hundreds of things to do in the state of California, the focus today will be on just 10 of the top things to do in California.

1. Theme and amusement parks. California is full of some of the USA’s best theme and amusement parks. Visitors can check out Disneyland and California Adventure, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios Hollywood, Legoland, Knotts Berry Farm, and Seaworld. Each of the different amusement parks will appeal to a different crowd but is sure to be a hit on a visit to California.

2. Beaches. The coast of California is full of great beaches on the Pacific Ocean to visit and relax or enjoy playing in the surf. Some of the most popular beaches in California include Santa Cruz, Pismo Beach, Mission Beach, La Jolla, Santa Barbara, and Coronado Island beaches. Beaches in California are usually free to access but may require arriving early to stake out the best spot for a day at the beach.

3. Monterey Bay Aquarium. While there are many aquariums in California, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is the best of all of them. In 2012, admission tickets were $32.95 for adults and $19.95 for kids that are between 3-12 years of age and they are open most days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Popular parts of the Aquarium include the Open Sea exhibit that has a two-story glass wall for viewing, a touch tank with stingray, and entertaining otters.

4. Museums. There are museums in California for just about every taste and style. The most popular ones include the USS Midway Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Getty Museum and the Museum of Tolerance.

5. Parks. California is full of great public parks that are a great outlet for kids to play at and enjoy the outdoors. Balboa Park, San Francisco’s Golden Gate park, and Palisades park are the among the top visited parks in California.

6. Lighthouses. The Old Point Loma Lighthouse is both a historic landmark and a beautiful place to view the beautiful scenery found in California.

7. Historic Sites. The Mormon Battalion Historic Site in San Diego is a historical landmark that is free to visit and provides a lot of entertaining activities like panning for gold and hosts are dressed in period style clothing.

8. Sports stadiums. California is home to many sports teams and visitors can enjoy a visit to Petco Park, Dodger Stadium, Angel Stadium, AT & T Park or a number of other sports teams stadiums.

9. Griffith Observatory. The Griffith Observatory is located in Los Angeles, California and is home to a large amount of space and science displays (and many of them are free!).

10. Hikes. California has hundreds of gorgeous hiking trails to chose from and visitors can choose from the beauty of Yosemite or short nature hikes near the beaches of the Pacific Ocean.
